Set-up Fee: There are no set up fees for Plesk virtual private server (VPS) hosting plans. Some optional services may have setup fees.
Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Pre-paid Subscription: You have the choice of a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription term. Payment is due by the first day of your billing cycle. You may change your subscription term at any time. The system will reset your billing cycle and give you a credit for any unused service. Your fee for the quarterly subscription is discounted by 5%. Annual subscriptions are discounted 10%. You may cancel at any time prior to the end of your subscription period without penalty. However, there are no partial refunds if you cancel prior to the end of your subscription period.
64 bit Virtuozzo VPS: Our hosting environment provides a true 64 bit virtual private server (VPS) with root access, using advanced technology called Virtuozzo from Parallels. Our "true VPS" service is more economical than a dedicated server and eliminates the security and reliability issues of shared hosting. Your environment will have all of the benefits of a server fully dedicated to your use, without the complexity and cost of a dedicated server. You will have root access and the industry leading Plesk control panel to administer your account.
Phone/Chat/Email Support: Highly responsive 24 by 7 technical support by Email and web form is available for all Plesk hosting plans at no extra charge. Plesk Gold 2, Gold 3 and all Platinum plans have the added benefit of 24/7 phone and chat support.
Toll Free Worldwide Phone Support: Technical support via the phone is provided for all hosting accounts, except the entry level Gold 1 plan. Customers that use Skype can place toll free calls directly to our company phone system at no charge. We also offer a local London phone number for our UK customers. These methods allow customers to access any department or individual in our company.
SLA: Our service level guarantee (SLA) is your assurance that you will receive the best network performance, service management, and technical support in the industry. Guarantees are provided for service availability, network latency, packet loss, server availability and service request responsiveness.
$$$ back guarantee: You may cancel the service within the first 30 days and receive a full, unconditional refund of the hosting fee for your initial purchase. Domain registration, SSL certificates, setup fees for optional services, software and other items over and above the subscription fee are not included in the guarantee and are not refundable.
Plesk 8.6 Control Panel with Power Pack: Our Plesk hosting plans feature the widely used Plesk control panel. This control panel is specifically designed to allow you to manage each domain/site as a service. You can control the resource allocations for each domain/site and set up administrator logins at the site/domain level. Now, with Plesk 8.6, you have the ability to bill each site/domain for usage of the service.
Virtuozzo Power Panel: Built into your Plesk control panel is the Virtuozzo power panel which allows you to access, monitor, and control your Virtual Private Server. This panel allows you to see your actual server resource allocations and usage, at the VPS level, and has a built in SSH client.
Branded Name Servers: Our Plesk VPS plans allow you to set up your own branded name servers.
System backups: All Plesk VPS plans have daily automatic system backups. Your entire environment is saved to a high capacity disk array, with a retention period of a minimum of seven days. Our sophisticated backup management system allows us to restore your entire environment from one of these backups in a short period of time.
Private Mail Server (POP/IMAP/SMTP): Your VPS subscription has it's own private mail server. This will ensure that you are not impacted by anyone else's mail traffic. There is no limit on the number of messages you send or receive. However, we do not permit Spam to originate from our service. The default webmail client is Horde.
Postini Spam/Virus Filtered Mail: Postini SPAM/Virus filtering is available for all Plesk plans. Postini is one of the most effective and easy to use SPAM filtering services available today. Each plan includes an allowance of Postini mailbox accounts as a free option. If you choose to use this optional service, and exceed the allocation of Postini mailbox accounts, you can upgrade your plan to get a higher allowance. You also can pay the overage of $0.30 per Postini mailbox account per month. The allowances are as follows:
Plesk Gold 1: 80 Postini filtered mailboxes
Plesk Gold 2: 120 Postini filtered mailboxes
Plesk Gold 3: 160 Postini filtered mailboxes
Platinum 1: 200 Postini filtered mailboxes
Platinum 1: 300 Postini filtered mailboxes
Platinum 1: 400 Postini filtered mailboxes
You will find that Postini is vastly superior to Spam Assassin and other SPAM tools that are installed directly inside of your VPS. It does not consume any of your resources and is very easy for your users to administer, which means less support time spent dealing with the SPAM menace.
Access to logs: Your control panel provides access to site traffic log files for downloading.
Operating System: CentOS 5 is the operating system. CentOS is the "white label" implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, sometimes referred to as "Red Hat, without the hat." It is functionally identical to RHE, minus logos and proprietary applications.
Apache web server: Apache 2.2 is offered. This is the most powerful and efficient version of Apache ever, offering many advanced features.
* Resource Allowances *
Disk Space: Each plan provides a large amount of usable disk space. Applications installed from the Control Panel do count against your allowance. You should not install applications that you do not need. Disk space used in excess of the plan allowance is billed at $.01/MB per month. Your entire environment, including all services and data, is backed up in the daily system backup service at no extra charge. Please note that we use fast, reliable high speed drives.
Traffic: All traffic in excess of the plan allowance is billed at $1 per GB.
Memory: The first number listed in the chart is your guaranteed available memory followed by a burst memory value. The burst memory ensures that you have enough memory for your VPS when you start up the Plesk control panel. Due to the high amount of memory on our servers, and the low density of customers, our plans swap very little. Many hosting companies promise high memory allocations and either overload the server or install minimal physical memory and instead rely primarily on swap. Our servers have a full complement of high speed DDR memory and are optimized to ensure that each VPS has ample, fast memory available. Please note that your Plesk VPS plan has many choices for optional application services. If you choose a high number of application services it will impact the effectiveness of your environment because each active application service consumes memory.
CPU Allocation: Each plan has an allocation of CPU power, proportional to the price of the plan. Our servers run dual quad core CPUs. Contact eApps for more information.
Dedicated IP address: Each hosting plan is issued two or more dedicated IP addresses for it's exclusive use. This means that your domain will not be at risk for blacklisting. Additional IPs are available for a monthly fee.
Mailboxes: Each Plesk plan provides for an unlimited allowance of mailboxes. If you choose to use Postini SPAM/Virus filtering, you will receive a generous allowance of Postini mailbox filters for this highly effective service. You may choose this service on a domain by domain basis. The allowance is for your entire VPS service. See the Postini information above for more information.
FTP accounts: FTP service is available as an option, using the ProFTP server. If chosen, you may have an unlimited # of FTP users. Please note: To ensure the security of your data we recommend that you use SFTP instead of FTP.
Domains: Each plan contains the popular Plesk control panel, licensed for 10 domains for the administration and use of domains. You may upgrade to a 100 domains Plesk license or an unlimited domains Plesk license. Domains can be purchased from eApps at order time or later from the Control Panel. You may of course use any domain that has been purchased previously. Existing domains can be transferred to eApps' registrar - eNom.
# Databases: Each plan allows an unlimited number of databases.
* Application Services *
Tomcat: Tomcat 5.5 is available for your use at no extra charge. We support thousands of Tomcat customers on our hosting service. Our technical support representatives are Tomcat experts.
Ruby on Rails: eApps offers Ruby on Rails for all plans. The plans provide an ideal environment for developers. FastCGI is also supported on the Plesk plans.
PHP/Zend Optimizer/EAccelerator/IonCube Loader: All hosting companies offer PHP. Our PHP is designed for the Power User. We have an impressive list of PHP modules available for your use. For more information visit our PHP information page.
Linux Development Tools: If you need a C compiler and other standard development tools that are available in the Linux operating system you may install this application at no additional charge.
MySQL: All hosting plans have access to a private instance of the MySQL database server at no extra charge. This application has been packaged by eApps Hosting to ensure that you have the best MySQL available in a Plesk plan. The phpMyAdmin interface is available to administer the MySQL server. You may install your own MySQL administration tool if desired or you can administer the database server from your local administraton tool.
PostgreSQL: All VPS hosting plans have access to a private instance of the PostgreSQL database server at no extra charge. This application has been packaged by eApps Hosting to ensure that you have the best PostgreSQL available in a Plesk plan. The phpPgAdmin interface is available to administer the PostgreSQL server. You may install your own PostgreSQL administration tool if desired or you can administer the database server from your local administraton tool.
SSH/SFTP/ProFTP: In addition to the file managers available in your control panel, SSH and any other SSH based access method such as SFTP and WinSCP can be used to access your VPS. At no cost, you may also select the ProFTP server for FTP access.
Plesk Application Vault: The Plesk Application Vault (APS) is a repository of applications available inside the Plesk control panel. Many popular applications are available for your use.
Application Packaging Standards applications: The Application Packaging Standard (APS) is a specification for the definition of hosting applications. Many software developers are using this specification to make it easy for you to deploy and use their application. The eApps Hosting Plesk plans are compatible with this specification, making it easy for you to download APS applications and upload them into your Plesk VPS.
SSL: SSL is also available as an option. This allows you to secure your web site using a commercial SSL certificate or a self signed certificate that can be generated and installed from your control panel.
* Other Options *
Plesk 100 Domains License: You can upgrade any time to a Plesk 100 Domains license.
Plesk Unlimited Domains License: You can upgrade any time to a Plesk Unlimited Domains license.
IP Addresses: Each Plesk plan includes two or more IP addresses. You may purchase additional IP addresses at any time at a cost of $1 per IP per month.
User managed backups: Through the control panel, you have several free options to create backups on your local computer as well as inside of your VPS. There is also a paid option that saves images of your entire VPS environment to a high capacity disk array.
Firewall: Your Plesk VPS has a built in firewall. However, you can not open external ports using this standard feature. We can open (or close ports) in our gateway firewall according to your specifications for an additional set-up fee of $15 and monthly fee of $10. This service is generally not needed unless you have special port or firewall needs.
Monitoring: Our servers are monitored and administered 24/7/365 to ensure maximum up time. For additional protection of your VPS, we offer a monitoring service that can be configured two ways - 1) web page and 2) protocol. For web page monitoring, we will periodically access a specific web page and attempt to read text found on the page. If the text is not found an alarm is initiated. When an alarm is initiated we will alert you automatically and/or take action to restart the application at your option. For protocol monitoring we will periodically make a request to a specific protocol. If the protocol does not respond, an alarm is initiated. Please note that this service is over and above the server level monitoring that we do. Fees are $10 per month per monitor process.
Priority Support: Priority Support has two benefits. 1) Priority - your support requests will receive a higher priority than other requests of the same severity level. Please understand that the severity of a support request is always considered, regardless of whether a customer has Priority Support or not. Our top priority is to minimize outages. 2) Pager - You will receive a special phone number that allows our phone call routing process and support representatives to recognize your Priority status. There is a monthly fee for the Priority Support option.
SSL Certificates: Alpha or GlobalSign Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates from our store which we will install at no extra charge. GlobalSign is a very respected, world-side vendor of SSL certificates. We also sell Thawte and Verisign certificates upon request. The purchase price included installation on the Apache web server. There is a small service fee to have us install customer provided certificates. Customers may also install a free, self signed certificate. Customer is responsible for annual renewal fees on the SSL certificate. Please visit our store for prices.
