eApps' history dates back to 1986, when the company(then known as Strategic Systems Consulting, Inc.) was founded by three "Big Five" consultants. In the first 10 years of its existence, the company prospered by providing consulting, project management, and software development services for major organizations. In 1996, the expanding opportunities of the Internet were a powerful beacon to upper management, who correctly foresaw that the Internet would evolve from an advertising medium to a business to business computing network. Over the years, eApps has achieved a number of significant milestones in the exciting world of eBusiness and has grown significantly in the process. A summary of these achievements follows:

Dec 05 2,000th hosting customer eApps signs up 2,000th hosting customer, effectively completing the transition from consulting firm to a hosting service provider

Jul 02 eApps qualifies as JBoss Partner eApps qualifies as a JBoss Authorized Consultant. JBoss is the defacto leader in open source J2EE compliant Java application servers, winning the 2002 Java World Editor's Choice for best Java application server over IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic.
Feb 00 eApps Launches Set of Extranets eApps launched a sophisticated set of Extranets for a large, international professional services firm. The Extranets were developed using multiple technologies and techniques including reverse proxy servers, LDAP directory services, RDBMS data store, content management processes, "my pages" capability, configuration, user management, and more.
Jan 00 SSC Now Known As eApps SSC obtained the URL "eApps.com" in February of 1996 when the company made a transition from client/server applications development to Internet applications development. As of January 1, 2000, the company is now known as eApps, to further reinforce its expertise in the development of eBusiness applications.
Nov 99 CEO Named to Lotus Executive Council Rick Lingsch, President and CEO of Strategic Systems Consulting, Inc. joined the Lotus Business Partner Executive Council for a 2 year term. The council meets with Lotus executives to discuss policy, strategy, and the direction of the Lotus Business Partner program.
Jun 99 Signs Major Extranet Deal SSC was selected by a major Internet technology company to assist in the development of a large Extranet application for an international accounting and consulting firm
Jan 99 Helps Launch e-Commerce Start-up One of SSC's customers received a $5,000,000 venture capital investment for its e-Commerce initiative, the software component of which was built by SSC.
Jan 98 Lotusphere Special Mention SSC receives special recognition during the Partner's Day presentation for the construction of The Build-A-Bear-Workshop web site, an innovative eCommerce application build with Lotus Domino. The application was built using SSC's digital catalog.
Nov 97 Tenth Major Internet Application SSC builds its tenth major Internet application. The ICS Food One application becomes the leading web based clearinghouse for the grocery industry. Application built and hosted by SSC.
Feb 97 CTO Named to Roundtable Jim Rice, Chief Technical Officer, was name to serve a two year term on the Lotus Business Partner Technical Roundtable, a prestigious group that provides feedback and advice to Lotus on the technical direction of their products.

Apr 96 First Notes Based Hosting SSC launches the first Notes based hosting operation in the Southeast, third such operation in the entire world
Jan 96 SSC Commits to eApps SSC dedicates resources to the development and support of electronic web applications (eApps) and selects Lotus Notes as primary technology
